I think the cold temperatures slowed down the newsmakers in Las Vegas this week. That’s the only way I can explain the lack of actual news. In fact, after MGM Resorts International reported earnings it seems as though everyone in Las Vegas went out for ramen to warm up from the freezing cold temperatures.

While the upcoming changes, effective 02/01/18, to the Caesars Total Rewards program, is a massive slash in benefits, some of the changes certainly make sense from their perspective. I try to play devil’s advocate and understand the business purpose for these decisions. Some I get, while others baffle me when I try to view them through the bean counter’s eyes.
I have been writing about the Mlife program at the Borgata, since the transition from My Borgata Rewards in June. It was difficult to figure out the Mlife Earn Rates because the computer system is not tallying all the numbers correctly in everyone’s account and I could not confirm the earn rates that they gave me verbally, even though they were updating my account to these values.
I received a pre-approved offer for the Mlife Rewards MasterCard and pulled the trigger after ZorkFest. This is not an overly generous offer, but with no yearly fee and no foreign transaction fees this is an opportunity to build a relationship with Mlife and earn some perks before even stepping into a property.
