Amsterdam, Netherlands | The Heineken Experience

Heineken Experience Amsterdam

Amsterdam is full of famous history, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Anne Frank… But did you know one of the classics of Football day originated in Amsterdam? Next time you come to visit you must check out the Heineken Experience. On a windy or rainy day in Amsterdam it’s the perfect activity. Learn about the large history of Heineken, which actually takes place in its former brewery, just outside of de Pijp, and easily accessible on the 16 and the 24 trams. The tour is also wheelchair accessible and comprehensive details are available at WheelchairTravel.

First and foremost, buy your tickets online ahead of time. Don’t be afraid to pass by the long 2-hr line worth of people waiting to get in; that is just a line to purchase the tickets. Walk right in and present your ticket, which you could either print out or present on your phone.

There’s even an “action” movie where the seats move as you go through the journey of the beer making process. After learning about the history, the recipe, and the actual drinking of Heineken, you are welcomed to the Heineken party, each participant receives a “beer bracelet” with two tokens you can redeem for 2 beers at the Heineken Bar, which you can now properly drink. Or you can redeem them for one beer that you get to pour yourself with a lesson included. And don’t forget to pick up you Heineken souvenir glass included with every ticket purchase.
