Travel Hacking: The Springtime In Australia Fare

Travel Hacking your way to Australia from the United States is one of those trips that all travel hackers have on their personal wish list. As of late there’s been some really cheap tickets available to go to Australia but most of them have been for the US summer months which means it’s winter in Australia. I’ve been to Australia during their winter. It’s not a North Pole, thermal underwear, where’s the sled Santa kind of winter but it does get cold and can be a bit wet and dreary. So this Springtime in Australia fare is perfect for the best combination in value, opportunity, destination and weather.

The fare is via United or Delta and so far it looks like it’s available from Atlanta, San Francisco, Los Angeles and a few other cities too. I’m a Delta guy so I would opt for that carrier, but please use the one that suits you the most.

That search should bring up at least a few dates that return the magic $761 fare. Once you locate the fare and note the flight numbers, you should be able to go to the airline website and purchase the ticket. Delta does have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if you change your mind you can cancel. But, who in their right mind would cancel a trip to Australia, during the spring, that they just bought for an amazing price of $761?

While you are there here’s a list of a few things you must do:

  • See the Opera House (The Dish Rack)
  • Walk along the Circular Quay
  • Walk across the Harbor Bridge (The Coat Hanger)
  • Take the Ferry to Manley
  • Visit the Taronga Zoo
  • Tour the Blue Mountains and the rainforest
  • DON’T eat at an Outback Steakhouse. They did have a couple a few years ago but seriously, don’t do it.

These fares are not going to last a long time, so jump on it now…… or don’t come crying to me later on.

ENJOY!!
