While editing last week’s news article by Marc Meltzer, I found a wonderful gem: Marble Run. Interblock Gaming is set to premier this game at G2E 2024. Meltz will be in attendance, and we are both as equally excited for this fresh new gambling idea.
Think Sigma Derby, or that newer one… Fortune Cup. Now replace the horses with marbles on a track that loops. That’s the idea behind Marble Run. If you’re a fan of marble races as seen on YouTube, this is up your alley. It’s up mine too. I honestly cannot wait. Marble Run is part of Interblock’s new lineup called: Amuse.
Here’s the lineup:
- Marble Run, a gravity-driven betting experience where players wager on racing marbles, delivering high-energy thrills and unique gameplay.
- Free Fall Roulette, which reimagines the traditional roulette experience with pinball-style mechanics, allowing players to influence the ball’s trajectory for an interactive twist.
- Dragon Roulette, featuring a “Bonus Stage” with multiple ball launches, adds layers of excitement and unpredictability.
- Lucky Roulette, combining modern 3D visuals with classic gameplay, offers a Lucky Number Multiplier feature for additional payouts.
For those of you who have never watched marble races before… check out this video (start at the 2min 14s mark).
“Marble Run is designed to blend amusement-style gameplay with random number generator (RNG)-based wagering, offering a dynamic, high-energy twist that is expected to attract a broader audience and generate new revenue streams for casinos.”
How exactly they will work gravity physics in an RNG based game is the only part that is confusing to me. How will an RNG decide which marble wins when marble races are based on gravity and nuance along the way? I’m hoping Melter can find out. To be honest, if it turns out to be 3d projected marbles, or stationary marbles with a chain or magnets underneath controlling each marble, I’m gonna be annoyed.
The game is part of Interblock’s broader AMUSE lineup, which aims to merge entertainment with gambling by introducing games like Free Fall Roulette, which includes pinball-style mechanics, and Dragon Roulette, which adds a bonus stage for even more unpredictability. This product line represents a new direction for casino entertainment, designed to captivate players with a more interactive and visually striking experience
