In a recent episode of the Yo-11 Podcast, Michael Trager asked, ‘Will you visit Las Vegas less often in 2025 than in previous years?’ Some on X responded that they will visit Las Vegas less often in 2025 because of ‘decreasing value’ and ‘cost.’ I plan on visiting Las Vegas more than five times in 2025 and still see great value in Las Vegas. Here’s why:
MyVegas Rewards
I can easily redeem more than $300 in food discounts per Vegas trip thanks to free-to-play mobile and browser games partnered with MGM. In addition, I typically redeem at least $75 in free play and sometimes use a two-night comp reward at an MGM hotel. See games from the developer Playstudios, including MyVegas Slots, MyVegas Blackjack, MyKonami, MyVegas Bingo, and more. MyVegas also added the downtown casino Plaza, so there’s extra opportunity there, too.
In many cases, you hardly have to ‘play’ games because you earn rewards sitting in a lobby (Blackjack, Bingo), opening gift boxes (Tetris), or autospinning Slot games (MyKonami, MyVegas Slots). Earning one million loyalty points monthly, way more than you need for one Vegas trip, is trivial, especially when using multiple mobile devices and playing some games through a browser (MyVegas Classic and MyKonami, connected through Facebook).
See a video on my YouTube channel where I demonstrate gameplay and explain in more detail.
MGM Mastercard
While spending my way to MGM status using the MGM Mastercard, I earn comps and freeplay, especially when using the MGM Mastercard to fund BetMGM during 3x tier and comps/freeplay promotions. I can stack comps with MyVegas rewards to pay $0 while dining and not pay taxes on food because comp use eliminates tax charges. Spending my way to MGM Gold status waives resort fees, and all cardholders gain pearl status, which waives parking fees. See my past TravelZork article for more MGM Mastercard details.
Wyndham Rewards
I stayed at Wyndham Desert Rose and Wyndham Desert Blue and was impressed by spacious suites and low points rates, especially for weekend stays. I used about 7500 Wyndham points per night earned through the impressive Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card that gives a high 8x rewards on transactions that code as fuel purchases. When weekend rates are high at other properties, Wyndham stays are appealing. All points-booked stays also waive resort fees.

Rio and World of Hyatt
During the week, I stayed at Rio, which offered low cash rates of around $30 per night. Hyatt Globalist status waives resort fees and adds complimentary breakfast for two at Hash House A Go Go. Rio is my property of choice for earning Hyatt qualifying nights to maintain my Globalist status, but I also stay at many other Hyatt properties. I earn Hyatt points through Chase credit cards, transferring Ultimate Rewards to World of Hyatt and also use the Hyatt personal and business credit cards.

Caesars Rewards and the Caesars Rewards Visa Credit Card
As I mentioned in a previous article the Caesars Rewards Visa can help attain Caesars Diamond status, which, among other benefits, waives resort fees at Caesars properties. All cardholders also enjoy waived parking fees. Although comp earning through this credit card isn’t great in most cases, comps can still be used to offset the cost of hotel prices and food. Many in the past who matched statuses to Caesars Diamond often saw low room rates of about $20 a night, so they could have used comps to pay this low rate.
Just a little effort can go a long way towards making Las Vegas a great value destination, and this is just the tip of the iceberg. Utilizing miles and points to offset airfare, attending tier multiplier promotions, using Hilton points or free night certificates, and other considerations can make Vegas an inexpensive high-value proposition.
