Today, March 2, 2018, Southwest Airlines fares from Philadelphia to Las Vegas have moved lower. The bulk of the lower fares are in April and May but some go into June. I’ve been checking fares every day because I’m participating in ZorkFest, which will be held in Las Vegas at TI from May 25th to the 27th and I found a fare for $128 each way or 7614 points! Southwest Airlines fares usually move in multiple markets, so check your departure city.
That’s $256 round trip or 15228 points round trip with points being worth .0168 cents per point. The recent pattern with Southwest Airlines is reduced fares for a very short window (as little as a few hours or a day) and then an immediate climb back up, so if you see a fare, book it, because you can always re-book on Southwest Airlines for no penalty. If you’ve already booked your flight on Southwest Airlines, check to see if your fare has gone lower or a better flight time has opened up.

The non-stop fares are a little inconvenient because they are very early in the morning and transportation to and from the airport can be challenging then, but I’ll work around it. I’m hoping that the fares will go even lower than this, so I will continue to check the prices every day.
