This is it. The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is finally closing. It’s funny that a casino that I’ve rarely visited in the past five years stirred up so much emotion. The Hard Rock opened in 1995 and became one of my favorite casinos for about 10 years.
his was a very rare week in Las Vegas with little drama and little news. Since there isn’t much major news, we’ll touch on one big topic, a less big topic but still interesting, and then expand Quick Hits as needed.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday! We haven’t missed a Sunday news post since starting. I’ve taken time out from vacation to write news while sitting at a bar drinking coffee. The streak will continue albeit a bit more brief than usual. Unfortunately, it appears as though the sick bug has caught me.
