Where should we start Vegas News today? Between MGM Resorts, Wynn Las Vegas, and Wrestlemania, the possibilities are endless. After a brief walk around my building, I think we’ll start with something you should all be familiar with, but it’s a place this news column with info from the past two weeks should begin just in case you missed it.
MGM Rewards has some new benefits. You can see the specifics in the press release here.

Speaking of casino corporation earnings season, it kicks off with Boyd Gaming reporting on April 24. Expect a little more information about its next Las Vegas casino in Henderson.

Wynn Resorts is encouraging its shareholders to vote no on releasing a report on whether or not it should “disclose a report on the potential cost savings through the adoption of a smoke-free policy for the Company’s properties.” Even though he’s not a shareholder, Mr. TravelZork would likely side with the corporation and vote to keep anything that might lead to the removal of smoking at Wynn. While Mr. TravelZork may be the foremost Wynn Fanboy(™), I’ve been reminded about how much this property has meant to me after spending the past few days writing about it. However…I have way more of an attachment to a different property created by Mr. Wynn.

I was playing video poker at the food hall bar at Durango this week and was reminded that this is one of the few bars that comps boozy slushy drinks while gambling.
If approved, Station Casinos will be operating the sportsbook at Treasure Island. See the statement here.
Station is also expanding to Mesquite to operate the sportsbooks at the Casablanca and Virgin River casinos. You can see a similar statement here.
The rewards program of the two Mesquite casinos is tier-matching if you’re interested in exploring the area.

Aces and Ales is one of the best beer bars in Las Vegas but it’s sorta in the middle of nowhere. The owners just opened Evolve with the same menu and happy hour near Durango Casino. I went this week and it can get loud but the price and beer is right. Get more info here.
