I’m going to start with a personal story and go into detail about how you can sleep at home in your favorite casino resort bed, just like the one you enjoyed in Las Vegas.
How I Got The Same Mattress I Slept On At The Cosmopolitan
After years of searching for a mattress, I ended up buying the same one I slept on more than 20 times at the Cosmopolitan. It was a long road to get there but it was worth it. Not only is the bed comfortable, but I probably have more flashbacks to some great nights at the casino than I should.
About six years ago I was in the market for a new mattress. I learned quickly that mattresses aren’t made the way they used to be. Most of the mattresses today aren’t just springs with a cover. There’s some kind of foam involved with most mattresses. The combination was not what I was familiar with.
Worst of all, the mattress affiliate mafia dominates the search engines. Despite the presentation of “honest reviews” that are all the same, it’s nearly impossible to find accurate information about the products.
On the plus side, many of the mail order mattresses have free returns so it was easy to try these newfangled mattresses. After testing out mattresses for a couple of years (seriously) someone told me about Serta’s Hotel Mattress page.
The search was over after a great night of sleep at one of my many stays at the Cosmopolitan after the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
One morning I woke up feeling amazing and called the front desk and asked if they had the information on the mattress. The front desk sent me to concierge, who connected me with housekeeping, and they shared all of the specifics.
A couple of weeks later, I received the mattress and I haven’t looked back.
You Can Buy Wynn, MGM Resorts, And Caesars Bedding
Wynn Resorts was the first company I recall that sold its hotel room products. Wynn At Home is a great website for fanboys. The bed was out of the price range I was willing to pay, so I looked for other options. You can buy the Wynn Dream Bed for $3,000 or just the mattress for $2,400.
Caesars Guest Purchase is an awful name, but it has the three mattresses the company offers for about $1,000 less than Wynn’s mattress.

For full disclosure, I paid less for my Cosmopolitan mattress at Serta than the official MGM store sells it for. My purchase was made before MGM purchased the property.
Those Aren’t Pillows!
I stayed at Red Rock Casino when I first moved to Las Vegas and had an amazing night of sleep and loved the pillows. I asked about what brand and type pillows they used and was told it was Sobel Westex.
Many casino hotels still use Sobel Westex pillows if you’re in the market. I slept on the Sahara Nights pillows for a while but stopped after they changed the firmness.
I should have thought about this when shopping for a mattress but that’s another story.
