The Borgata just announced that the full transition from My Borgata Rewards to MGM Mlife casino loyalty program will take place on June 7, 2017. What I want to know is this: If players are going to enjoy the same level of recognition and benefits that they enjoyed with My Borgata Rewards, why are the details so vague? (Official press release from May 23, 2017.)
The fact that comps earned at Borgata will be good at all Mlife properties is no surprise and is certainly not information exciting enough for a press release. Caesars Total Rewards has been doing this for years. Continuing to receive comps (EXPRESS COMPS ™ instead of Comp Dollars) and Slot Dollars is also not breaking news. The Borgata is nice, but there are six other casinos vying for business in Atlantic City, that reward play with comps and slot dollars.

Mlife at Borgata – Perks? Earn Rate? Details?
HOW am I going to receive the same level of perks for my play? What is the earn rate for slots and video poker? What is the earning rate for SPEND? That is already transparent at all other Mlife properties. How far is my gambling dollar going to go? None of these details are being provided at the My Borgata Rewards desk.
One tidbit of information that they are releasing now is that one Point earned is going to be worth 75 Mlife Tier Credits. That might be useful if we knew what a Point is worth. It was not stated specifically that the same play that earned a Comp Dollar will now earn a Point, so that reveal is still ambiguous. One could conjecture that one Comp Dollar is indeed worth one Point, since earning 1000 comp dollars in the My Borgata program would be converted to 75,000 Mlife Tier Credits and would earn Gold Status through Mlife (which is the tier that all existing Black Label card holders will be given at the transition) but nothing is in writing. More to the point (pun intended) will Mlife award more or less total comps and slot dollars for the same amount of play that I gave the Borgata under My Borgata Rewards?

The Borgata is the nicest property in Atlantic City and I want to continue to play there, so I will just have to go to the Borgata on June 7 and gather this information myself!
