A longtime friend of mine has a Japanese friend who is also a foodie and wanted to visit Okatshe after reading my August 2017 TravelZork article.
After perusing the Jose Garces’ Okatshe Tropicana Atlantic City menu we found the hidden door in the back of the Japanese candy shop and walked into a large and whimsical space, set up like an Izakaya (informal Japanese gastropub) in an alley of Tokyo.
Momofuku Las Vegas opened with very little fanfare this week at Cosmopolitan. A friend was walking past it on his way to pay final respects to Blue Ribbon Sushi and saw that it was open. He immediately made a reservation for the next day.
