Before we get to the scoop on Mohegan Vegas… The week started with a “work from Vegas” kind of experience. The working staycation was inspired by various casino promotions and a need for a change of scenery.

Before we get to talking about the reopening of Las Vegas…… On Saturday I woke up crankier than usual since it was 3:30 am. After listening to a couple of podcasts I grabbed a cup of chamomile tea and plopped down on the couch to see what was on TV. It was with great surprise that reruns of the old NBC show “Las Vegas” were airing on E!
It’s getting harder to find full pay video poker in Las Vegas, but until the costs outweigh the benefits, I will continue to play. I cannot provide a comprehensive list of the best video poker in Las Vegas, as I did with Atlantic City. Fortunately, I have been going to Las Vegas for many years and know about most of the low denomination (25c or below) opportunities.

Just over a year ago, Derek Stevens owner of the Golden Gate Casino purchased a few properties on Fremont Street. Included in the purchase were the casinos formerly known as Mermaids and La Bayou. La Bayou was on the south side of Fremont Street and also closed. This casino is now a part of the Golden Gate casino. La Bayou casino and an alley in between the Golden Gate are now a part of a large expansion of the casino floor at the Golden Gate.
