Michael and I are constantly being asked for our thoughts on certain properties in Las Vegas, both from new visitors and seasoned visitors alike. Due to this, we decided it would be useful to record a series of nine-minute episodes of ZorkCast, interspersed with longer episodes, spending nine minutes reviewing and discussing different Vegas hotels and casinos. With that, “Nine Minutes On…” was born, starting with ZorkCast Episode 94: Nine Minutes On Mandalay Bay.
Las Vegas hotels
There were so many renovation and expansions of existing casinos that never got off the ground. It’s fun to take a stroll around the Las Vegas that never was.
The massive big blue casino-resort on the north end of the Vegas Strip just received a permanent name – The Drew Vegas. This is now the third name for the massive blue glass building. The structure was built with the intention of being the Las Vegas version of Fontainebleau.
Currently Caesars is running a New Year, New Empire promotion (Promo Code: NYNE18) that can be combined with an Opt-In Offer for 1000 tier points per night.
For the past year, Caesars has been devoted to renovating their hotel rooms around the country. The reason for the upgrades is $imple. The new room products result in higher room rates. The interesting thing is that renovated Las Vegas hotel rooms are sort of a win-win for customers and the hotel operator.
