This is another big week for news in Las Vegas but I want to begin with something you can only do today in Las Vegas. First of all, you’re living life right if you’re on vacation and reading this to start your day.
I was stoked when The Venetian announced that Chica by Lorena Garcia was opening earlier this year. The Latin restaurant is bringing a type of cuisine that isn’t found in most other Las Vegas casinos.
Momofuku Las Vegas opened with very little fanfare this week at Cosmopolitan. A friend was walking past it on his way to pay final respects to Blue Ribbon Sushi and saw that it was open. He immediately made a reservation for the next day.
I wasn’t feeling that flush, so I slid my mouse over to Robuchon’s other Vegas outpost – L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon. It’s a bit less formal and has 1 Michelin Star. It also features an open kitchen, so you can watch the culinary creations as they come together. I opted for seats at the bar, so my colleague and I could take in the action, and maybe take a few notes to improve our own kitchen skills.
There are times when I go out to eat and don’t have the intention of writing a review of the experience. Sometimes a nice meal is best kept among the diners. That was the plan when I visited Rx Boiler Room at Mandalay Bay.
Yardbird Southern at The Venetian Las Vegas has received constant praise since opening last year. This isn’t only praise coming from the media but also..
Appetizers are the great equalizer when you’re looking to save money but eat quality food when dining in Las Vegas.
On a recent cruise in the Bahamas I skipped the usual shore tours and opted instead for a quiet, serene, out of the bustle restaurant a friend had recommended to me.
