The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to take over the Strip from November 21-23. While the race will be exciting for Formula 1 fans, there’s no denying it brings a mix of thrills and headaches to those living or visiting Vegas. The 6.2-kilometer (3.8-mile) track snakes through the Strip, past landmarks like The Venetian, Bellagio, and the glowing MSG Sphere, making it one of the most visually stunning circuits in F1. Drivers will hit speeds of over 210 mph (338 km/h) as they navigate 14 tricky turns. I am a firm believer that Las Vegas enhances the Grand Prix, but the Grand Prix does not enhance Las Vegas. But enough of my Vegas Local moaning.

The Entertainment, of Course (see what I did there?)
Let’s be real: in Vegas, the entertainment outside the race is just as big of a deal. The Fan Zone by the MSG Sphere is the hotspot for off-track fun. Expect live music, pop-up food stalls, driver interviews, and a solid selection of drinks. But the real draw is what happens once the race action winds down. Concerts from major international stars will take over the city, and for those who like their nightlife, there will be themed parties at some of the Strip’s most famous clubs and rooftops.
The entertainment lineup for the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix is packed with big-name performers. For example, OneRepublic kicks off at the T-Mobile Zone near the MSG Sphere on November 21, followed by Alesso on November 22, and Ludacris on November 23. At the East Harmon Zone, expect performances from Big Boi on November 22 and Snakehips on November 23. More acts are yet to be announced, adding to the already stacked lineup for this weekend.

Tickets and Packages
Tickets are already in demand. From general admission to luxury VIP packages, you can watch the race however you like. If you’re after a premium experience, the VIP packages get you prime views, gourmet food, and exclusive after-race party access. Several top hotels, like The Venetian and Wynn, are offering F1-themed packages that include accommodations, meals, and tickets bundled together for an all-in-one experience.
The Finish Line (of this article)
The 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix is going to be an epic weekend for those who love Formula 1, but it’s also going to be one that comes with its fair share of traffic headaches and closed roads. The Strip will be buzzing with more than just racecars, and for fans of speed, entertainment, or both, it’ll be a weekend to remember. Whether you’re here to see the race or just soak up the energy, there’s plenty to keep you busy—just pack a little patience if you’re trying to get around.
