Vegas News | Fertitta Closing In On Caesars, $25 Beer Fest at Tuscany and A Movie About Vegas In The 1980s

Vegas News Update - TravelZork Vegas News

It’s a long holiday weekend, and there’s a treat at the end of Vegas News this week. There’s a movie about Las Vegas in the 1980s at the bottom of this article. You will only be able to view it if you read every article below. That’s definitely not sarcasm.

I added a little color to the top story since the article I wrote earlier this week with more detail hasn’t been published. The Financial Times is reporting that creditors are lining up to lend Tilman Fertitta money to buy Caesars. The deal could go down in as few as a couple of weeks. Read more here.

There will be more regulatory hurdles in a handful of markets since there’s owner overlap. Look for casinos to be sold in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, etc. More on that another time. Let’s get to the rest of the news!

Marc grew up on the mean streets of the South Bronx. He's the rare combination of Yankees and Jets fan which explains his often contrarian point of view. He learned about gambling at a young age working down the street from a bookie who took action on anything from the mainstream sports to the last three digits of the purse for certain horse races. Yeah, that's a thing. Today Marc is a freelance writer and social media consultant which allows him to work anywhere there's a wifi signal. This allows him to work from the sportsbook at Red Rock Resort or the food court at The Venetian where you’ll find fast and free wifi. Writing about steak, booze, gambling and Las Vegas is a tough job but somebody has to do it.
