
Here’s a preview of Fontainebleau. The casino floor looks great, and I can’t wait to check it out. Jonathan Halkyard, MGM Resorts CFO, recently spoke at the Leveraged Finance Conference. He mostly discussed how the Las Vegas Grand Prix weekend went from one of the slowest of the year to the “highest-grossing weekend in hotel revenue in the history of the company.”
Even the “worst” Las Vegas casino hotels are nicer than some accommodations around the country. Las Vegas Bargain Hotels…

The new Spongebob ride at Circus Circus opens on March 1. The Fontainebleau opening in December wasn’t a soft opening but there are still restaurants coming online. Two more restaurants just opened.
This will be a throwback edition of Vegas News for some of you. We will start with an overview of the first few Las Vegas casino operator earnings before getting quick hits of individual items. Also, be sure to take note that Fontainebleau Las Vegas has announced a tier match!

Since our last Vegas News, I was finally able to spend substantial time at Fontainebleau. My thoughts on the property are mixed, but I had a great time. Even though it has been a rather slow start to the year, we’ll begin with some “chatter” about Fontainebleau and Super Bowl Info.
My first overnight stay at Fontainebleau Las Vegas was a mixed bag. Feelings ranged from dealing with new casino opening problems to I love this place!
Since the last Vegas news, two new casinos have opened in Las Vegas. Fontainebleau is open on the Vegas Strip and Durango Resort is open about 15 minutes west of Mandalay Bay.
