Las Vegas remains one of the best places for cheap hotels, food, and entertainment. Visit Las Vegas during your birthday month for even more value.
As usual, I’ll be going to Las Vegas for my birthday month. Arriving in late August – checking in on a Sunday and leaving on a Friday – I’ll be able to take advantage of cheap $15 weekday rates I found on my MGM account, staying at Park MGM. I can use offers and credits for August and September, and use birthday rewards in my birth month, September.
Birthday Month Dining Deals
Sign up for Rosa Mexicano’s loyalty program for a $25 dining credit during your birthday month and an additional $10 just for joining. Rosa Mexicano is located next to Planet Hollywood.
Landry’s Select Club members get a $25 annual birthday reward. I typically eat at Rainforest Cafe near Planet Hollywood. More locations are available in Las Vegas, especially in the downtown area.
P.F. Chang’s rewards program members get a comp starter or dessert “to enjoy 30 days after issuance on the Member’s birthday.” In the past, a purchase was necessary, but this doesn’t appear to be the case as of March 2026. Members also get free edamame, even during birthday month visits. Visit P.F. Chang’s inside Planet Hollywood.
Panera Bread now gives MyPanera+ Sip Club members a comp You Pick Two during their birthday month. There is currently a promo code for new members: $5 a month for the first three months.
Panera Bread has several locations in Las Vegas, and one is about a 15-minute walk from Horseshoe.
Stack MyVegas rewards with MGM Rewards Points (and possibly get free birthday rewards, too)
The MyVegas games by Playstudios offer some of the best ways to save in Las Vegas. These free-to-play games allow you to earn real-life rewards. Play on multiple devices for smoother and faster earnings.

I also have $25 and $15 Blackjack match play rewards for use at Park MGM.
Usually, you have to pay tax on food at MGM restaurants, but if you use comps to cover the balance, there are no tax charges. I redeem a MyVegas reward and use comps to pay the remaining balance. Earn comps through spending on MGM credit cards and converting the earned Slot Dollars to MGM Rewards Points.
You can also earn comps from achieving MGM Gold status ($100) and MGM Platinum status ($200). Additionally, MGM Platinum status grants a $600 Air Travel Credit that can be applied to your overall comp balance.
The MGM Iconic credit card also gives a $200 resort credit shortly after approval and on the cardmember anniversary year. The $200 is applied to your overall balance and doesn’t have to be used all at once. Earn another $250 on your credit card anniversary year after spending $25,000 in a cardmember year.
Back to the birthday theme, I have received extras during my MGM restaurant visits after mentioning my birthday month and presenting my MGM Platinum status. Your mileage may vary, but I’ve received free drinks, free desserts, and more.
Other ways to save
I can also save money in Las Vegas – birthday month or not – with $25 in Bilt Cash from Bilt credit cards at the restaurant Zatinya. Use the Bilt app to pay after scanning a QR code on your receipt.
At Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas, I can redeem $50 Hilton credits from Amex Hilton Surpass and Business Platinum cards. Waldorf Astoria has a rooftop bar and restaurant that gives great views of the Las Vegas Strip during the day and night.
I can use Caesars Rewards Reward Credits from Caesars credit card spending and online gambling. I can also redeem my Diamond status $100 Celebration Dinner benefit.
I can use Grubhub credits from various credit cards. I choose pickup to save money.
I can use Resy credits from various American Express cards. Rosa Mexicano near Planet Hollywood should be on the Resy platform, as should Gymkhana at Aria. Check benefits before redemptions.
Contrary to popular opinion, there are many ways to save money on dining in Las Vegas, especially during your birthday month. With some preparation and targeting good deals, Las Vegas remains a great value destination.
