Save Money on Rideshare in Las Vegas With Credit Card Benefits

Loyalty and Points Corner

Credit cards offer many ways to save on rideshare in Las Vegas (and many other locations). Here’s how I save money on rideshare.

I often see online discussions about the cost of taxi rides, limos, and other transportation options in Las Vegas. With so many ways to save money using Lyft and Uber, I stick to often much cheaper rideshare options.

Previously, rides with Zoox were free, but on August 10th of 2026, Zoox will be charging for rides.

However, rideshare outside Zoox can often be close to free when considering credit card benefits. Here are some rideshare benefits I use in Las Vegas:

Chase Sapphire Reserve

Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders get $10 off Lyft rides once per month, and 5x points on Lyft rides through September 2027. This benefit shows in the Lyft app, taking $10 off the ride before you book it. The Chase Sapphire Reserve benefit should also stack with other benefits, like the monthly $10 Bilt Lyft credit, discussed later in this article.

You can also often buy discounted Lyft gift cards in the DoorDash app. I’m currently seeing 10% off Lyft gift cards, up to $200 gift cards for a $20 discount. Usually, you can purchase at least four discounted gift cards per month through DoorDash. Purchases through the DoorDash app also code as dining or U.S. restaurants, so earn even more points with cards bonusing dining spend through the gift card purchase.

Bilt

Bilt Palladium and Obsidian credit card members can redeem $10 in Bilt Cash once per month to get $10 off a Lyft ride. Like the Chase Sapphire Reserve, the $10 credit is shown before you book a ride. You can stack the Bilt $10 and the Chase Sapphire Reserve $10 for $20 off a single ride, likely covering most of the cost to get from the Las Vegas Airport to the Strip.

Amex Gold and Platinum

Amex personal Gold and Platinum cards have a flexible benefit for adding Uber Cash to your Uber app, automatically added each month. The Uber Cash doesn’t need to all be used on a single ride, but must be used by the end of the month, or it expires. The Amex Uber Cash adds to gift card or other balance you may have in the Uber app. Uber gift cards are often 10-15% off or better through many retailers.

United Club Card

I keep the personal United Club card mainly for discounts on points-booked flights, 10,000 mile bonuses with high spending, status with high spending, and lounge access, but the monthly rideshare credits are also appealing. Charge a Lyft or Uber ride to the United Club credit card and get a statement credit of $12 most months or $18 back in December. The United rideshare benefit should stack with $10 in Bilt Cash, should you have a more expensive ride.

Amex Delta SkyMiles cards

Many Amex Delta credit cards offer monthly rideshare credits, distributed as statement credits after rides are charged to the credit cards. Make sure to enroll in this benefit before booking rides.

Other tips

To save even more money, I often take the free MGM tram (Aria Express) going from Bellagio to Park MGM, which takes me closer to my intended destination before requesting rideshare. The MyVegas games by Playstudios also often offer discounted Las Vegas Monorail tickets.

With so many ways to save on rideshare through discounted gift cards, statement credits, and various discounts, it’s easy to save on rideshare in Las Vegas, making Lyft and Uber rides much cheaper than taxis and ‘VIP transportation.’

Benefits and terms can change, and often do in the miles, points, and credit card space. Make sure to check for updated information before using Uber and Lyft. As always, gamble intelligently and use credit responsibly.
