It almost seems as if Las Vegas is reinventing itself seemingly more than ever. Since then the economy has improved and prices have been slowly creeping back to normal. Las Vegas is back on the upswing.
This was a rather interesting week in Las Vegas. There wasn’t as much major news as last week but there is a lot to know.

Happy Christmas Eve! Believe it or not, Las Vegas can get chilly in the winter. Everyone will feel the chill in the air if you plan on being outside for a while. So, that’s the weather. Brr. Let’s move onto the news.
United Lounge Enhancements in Las Vegas and other cities | Now United is making another move as it experiments with new food and beverage choices in select lounges around the U.S., which includes the TravelZork favorite of Las Vegas. The strategy is also being tested in Houston Intercontinental, Orlando and Boston.
Gambling was once the main revenue generator for Las Vegas casinos. Along with food and beverage, hotel rooms, and amenities, it’s just part of the revenue mix today.
My feelings on the casino drink monitoring systems at the Cosmopolitan, Caesars Entertainment, and MGM Resorts International casino bars are mixed. I generally don’t mind the systems, especially at the Cosmopolitan, but I’m not entirely happy they have to exist.
Drink monitoring systems may not affect you if you’re visiting a video poker bar in a casino specifically to play video poker. It’s a different story if you’re passively playing video poker expecting complimentary drinks. The systems aren’t ubiquitous…yet.
