Ocean Resort Casino, formerly Revel, is currently in a soft opening. The official Opening will be June 28th, 2018 with an official ribbon cutting and Gala for certain invited guests. Having the opportunity to return to one of my favorite properties, I did not wait for the 28th.
Slot Dollar Day Promotion Borgata Atlantic City – This Saturday, June 23rd, the Borgata is running a 5X Slot Dollar day. The upgrades are that the multiplier day is on a weekend, which is rare and the 5X Slot Dollars can be earned for the ENTIRE gaming day.
Friends and family know that I have been visiting Atlantic City for decades and they often ask me for advice about various aspects of a visit to the city. When they inquire about a place to enjoy a great meal, perhaps for a special occasion, I generally suggest that they leave the confines of the casino and visit one of the local family owned spots.
We’re a week removed from the Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo weekend in Las Vegas. I didn’t think I’d feel this way but Derby Day felt incomplete without a big fight. I haven’t been a boxing fan for a few years but the excitement a big fight brings to Las Vegas is unmatched. Boxing also brings in the biggest customers according to MGM Resorts.
There’s no way to sugar coat MGM Resorts first quarter earnings. I opened the quarterly MGM Resorts earnings presentation as soon as I woke up and saw a slew of red down arrows. After a cup of coffee and actually spending time reading the why there were red arrows it’s easy to see that MGM Resorts just had a bad quarter.
I have some clarification to add to my Borgata Mlife post from last week.I played video poker again and the Mlife Express Comps, Slot Dollars and Tier Credits were updated in my account immediately. The Global Points were not, but the Mlife Desk had the correct session total in their records, when I inquired about it.
