Using Bilt Cash for Cheap Dining in Las Vegas

Bilt

Thanks to the Bilt Palladium credit card and Bilt Cash, I easily saved $25 on dinner in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is one of the best destinations for value, especially for hotel rooms and dining. In the past, I wrote about how to save money on food and hotels in Vegas, and now we have more opportunities to save money.

Bilt recently released new versions of their credit cards (formerly with Wells Fargo, now with Cardless), introducing a new rewards currency – Bilt Cash. Bilt Cash – earned in addition to Bilt points – is a flexible currency cardholders can use for hotel, dining, and rideshare discounts, gift cards, and more.

Using Bilt Cash in Las Vegas

Bilt

I used $25 in Bilt Cash during my recent trip to Vegas, getting $25 off dinner at Bar Centro, a restaurant affiliated with Bazaar Mar inside The Shops at Crystals (a quick stop after a free MGM tram ride from Bellagio or Aria).

Bar Centro hosts a happy hour from 4 PM to 5 PM, so I went there rather than Bazaar Mar. Although the Happy Hour menu is limited to pastries, xuxos and caneles, I got double value since they were half-priced. The venue had ample seating, the pastries had different flavors, and the service was good.

The payment process was simple – the receipt has a QR code that, when scanned with my mobile phone, pulled up the Bilt app. I followed prompts, selected apply Bilt Cash ($25 max), and I added a tip to make the total exactly $25.

Maximizing the $25 Monthly Dining Credit

You can use the $25 Bilt Cash dining benefit only once per calendar month, but it is a generous $300 a year if you use the dining benefit every month. For variety, Las Vegas also has two other options as of this article’s writing (more may come), including Zaytinya and Bazaar Meat. See a map of locations that accept the $25 Bilt Cash dining credit here.

To use even more Bilt Cash in one Vegas visit, consider an end of month redemption and a start of month redemption in the same trip, if possible. You can also stack with other benefits, including generic credit card dining credits or specific credits like the Chase Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables benefit. Check first to determine whether the restaurant you visit is eligible.

And With That….

Bilt presents even more opportunities to save money in Las Vegas, once again dispelling the myth that Las Vegas is expensive. With some effort and preparation, there are many ways to dine at low cost in Las Vegas. I look forward to more Las Vegas visits and Bilt dining redemptions.
