I mention this often, but no “all-inclusive Las Vegas” package truly covers all expenses. I broke down the cost of each feature and was blown away by how expensive food is at Caesars properties. You can see the details here.

I stopped by the Bally’s pop-up casino on the site of the Tropicana last week. I didn’t have playing quarter slots in a trailer on a construction site on my bingo card but I did it! Expect this to return in two years since there won’t be an operating casino on the land and whoever owns operations will want to keep the land zoned for gaming.
I’ve had a lot of good times at Downtown Grand, and a lot of that is because it was never really crowded. As such, the owners defaulted on a loan, and the casino will be sold after years of rumors. See the details here.

Casino earnings season is just a few weeks away. We should hear plenty of news about the casino corporations over the next month or so. Boyd Gaming kicks things off on 4/23.
