Atlantic City August 2019 — The most popular and anticipated event of the year is the annual Atlantic City Airshow, Thunder Over The Boardwalk, to be held Wednesday, Aug. 21. Golden Nugget Casino, Hotel & Marina’s annual International Winefest will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 23 and 24. The first event is a Wine and Jazz Reception with international wines, live jazz, award-winning cuisine and an impressive array of French Champagne. The Grand Tasting on Saturday is chance to sample more than 100 wines from 11 of the world’s most prestigious wine producing countries – Italy, Spain, France, Portugal, Germany, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Austria, Chile and Argentina. Both events take place from 7 to 10 p.m.

Woofstock Atlantic City – a dog, art and music festival – will take place at the Showboat Friday and Saturday, Aug. 2 and 3. Friday’s hours are from 4 to p.m.; Saturday’s, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Browse dozens of vendors, enjoy live music all weekend, and grab some local food and beverages.
Emceed by Mr. Boogie himself, guests at Tropicana Atlantic City’s Boogie Nights can showcase their knowledge of ’70s and ’80s pop culture throughout the evening Friday, Aug. 9, for the chance to win prizes including free admission and VIP Booths. Questions will cover a range of categories including music, fashion, sports and film. Guests will have two opportunities to participate in “That Retro Game Show.” While waiting in line to enter the club, Mr. Boogie will randomly call on guests to answer a retro trivia question. If the answer is correct, the guest will get to skip the line and receive free admission to the club that evening. Throughout the night, the screen above the stage will display the words “That Retro Game Show” signifying Mr. Boogie is ready to ask the next question. Contestants, selected at random, will join Mr. Boogie on stage for the chance to answer the question. Featuring the sights and sounds of The Animals, Jim Morrison, Mick Jagger, Janis Joplin, David Bowie and others, celebrate the 50th anniversary of Woodstock with Deckstock Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 10 and 11, at the Golden Nugget’s Deck Bayfront Bar & Restaurant.
August 10, the South Jersey Indian Association (SJIA) will host India Day on the Atlantic City Boardwalk with a Mela and parade.
Bars and restaurants at the Tropicana will team together on Monday, Aug. 19, for the 12th Annual Taste of the Quarter benefiting the United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey in Atlantic County. This signature foodie event creates a festive atmosphere for guests to have the opportunity to experience the flavors of Tropicana’s many dining establishments.
The AC Meat Fest
The AC Meat Fest will take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1, at the Showboat. The outdoor event will be held rain or shine, and food offerings will include-ribs, wings, burgers, tacos, jerky, barbeque, bacon and more. There also will be several snack and other vendors (cutlery, bacon jam, smokers and grills, sauces and marinades, etc.). In addition, there will be entertainment by the Davisson Brothers Band, Springbrooke and Savage Road on Saturday, and Ghost Pepper and Quasi Flannel.

Beginning at 10 p.m., Saturday night fireworks by Grucci in front of the Tropicana Atlantic City continue every week through Sept. 14.
Band on Tour continues on select date through Friday, Aug. 30, at the Tropicana. The band pays tribute to some of the best rock bands of the last decades, is accompanied by six musicians and performs in a multimedia rock set-up.
Free Movies Under The Stars continue Sundays and Thursday in Atlantic City August 2019 at Gardner’s Basin and Bartram Avenue, respectively. Bring a chair or blanket, a soft drink and popcorn, and enjoy a free family-friendly evening. Movies begin at dusk.
