Hopefully by now you’re already digested the goodness that is Encore’s Salon Suite as highlighted in the first installment of this review. The suites, now approaching 5 years old and unbelievably about to be completely renovated, are still the high bar for luxury hotel suites in Las Vegas. But the amazing design, thoughtful service, and plush amenities don’t stop at the living room of the suite.
Connected to the suite’s main salon through a set of double doors, the main bedroom is awash in the same earthy tones and flashes of bright finish that set the entire suite design apart. Plush cream and brown carpet give way to an alcove holding the night tables topped in marble, a mirrored two-poster bed with brown velour headboard and a sea of cool linens and pillows atop a signature Wynn Dream Bed. This bed is one of the best in town, sleeping at the right temperature and sure to put you to sleep in a matter of minutes after your run late into the night or early into the morning at the tables. At the foot of the bed is a bench as decorative as it is useful for putting on shoes or sitting to change a garment.
To the right, the nightstand features an iHome alarm clock and radio for your iDevice, and the table lamps feature integrated push button dimmers and a plug for charging your phone or device of choice. Unfortunately the orientation makes all but the smallest of plugs not viable for use, but with some maneuvering your iPhone will get the power it needs at your fingertips.
To the left, the nightstand features a phone and a panel for turning lights on and off as well as activating the exterior privacy sign and curtains and another lamp just like the one of the right. Both tables feature drawers for storage, feeling much more like home than a simple hotel room, and have the same warm marble top featured throughout the suite.
Across the room is a wall mounted flat panel television, along with a piece of furniture housing another DVD player similar to the main living room underneath. The set swivels off the wall allowing for comfortable in bed viewing if that’s your pleasure.
Rounding out the room is an arm chair and ottoman similar to the couches in the main room, with a floor lamp on a dimmer adjacent which makes for a perfect spot to curl up with a book or look out at the amazing Strip view below.
To the back of the bedroom, secluded behind yet another set of double doors, is the master bath suite, and this isn’t just a bathroom by any stretch. Inside is a floor set with dark marble and mosaic tile, setting off a space wrapped in mirrors (pay no attention to me interfering in the view) offset by sconces and lights made of mother of pearl rounds. At the front are his and hers closets with plenty of storage and a safe for keeping valuables where they belong.
At the rear, a large raised mirrors sits above a ledge of marble running around the room, a staple of Encore’s bath design, which is above a large two sided vanity topped in marble. Amenities such as mouthwash, razors, toothbrushes, and anything needed are at the ready and kept stocked fully, and appliances and a seat for readying yourself in the evening are never more than a reach away. There’s also another bench for getting ready, as well as a makeup mirror and scale so that you have all the things you need without looking far for them.
Off the main room is a water closet enclosed for privacy, with the same high-seated fixture as the powder, a phone, and art similar to that throughout the suite.
Just to the side of the vanity is a large walk in shower with bench. Although sadly it doesn’t feature the rain shower heads that Wynn’s Salon’s do, the high shower head and hand held nozzle provide a warm full blasting shower with hot water on demand.
And to the other side is a large spa tub, set in a sea of the same marble that sets up the majority of the suite’s hard surfaces. It’s a deep affair, which fills quickly and features a hand wand as well as timed jets. Bath amenities are also provided at no charge, including a loofa, bath pillow, salts which feature the same aromatics as the rest of the bath products, and extra-large bath sheets for relaxing and enjoyment.
In the 5 years that Encore has been around, it still stands to the test of being at the top of the luxury game. With suites that range from modest to over the top, as well as a sense of design that’s understated and yet outrageous paired with the kind of service that has you coming back for more, the Tower Suites at Encore are sure to raise the bar when they are renovated later this year.
But before that happens you needn’t worry, what’s there now is worth the trip, and if you’re looking for a hotel experience like no other, you don’t need to go any further than the Encore Tower Suites. And when you return and are greeted by a first name, don’t be surprised. Encore is pure luxury and pure familiarity. And that is what makes the Tower Suites the most luxurious home away from home in Las Vegas.
