How funny is this? It’s a sweepstakes to celebrate the incomplete transition from My Borgata Rewards to Mlife, a program that is not transparent and doesn’t really add anything to the experience of playing at the Borgata! Maybe offering 10 chintzy prizes (they don’t even include transportation) for viewing the answers to questions they have already elaborated on, will mask the fact that they won’t release or haven’t figured out the program details that patrons really want to know about. Will offering prizes to destinations other than the Borgata obscure the reality that Mlife has yet to bring any additional value to playing at the Borgata or that Mlife isn’t going to offer the same benefits at the Borgata, that they do at their other properties?
A free chance to win something is free, though. You enter each week to receive the package at 10 different Mlife properties: MGM National Harbor, Maryland, Beau Rivage, Mississippi and Luxor, Excalibur, New York-New York, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Aria and Bellagio in Las Vegas. If you win and don’t live local to the property, I suppose you could use the $500 for air fare, though these days, it might be difficult to find airfare for two, for $500 round trip. $200 in food for 3 days isn’t all that generous either.
I would like to see MGM provide more resources to sort out the many issues that were inevitable for such a monumental program change and to stop answering legitimate questions about the new program with, “But the Mlife Rewards card gives you access to benefits and rewards at 17 MGM Resorts International Destinations.” Caesars Total Rewards has been doing this for years and I do most of my play in Atlantic City, so I want to know what I can earn IN ATLANTIC CITY.
