It’s football season and Las Vegas sportsbooks will be packed every Saturday and Sunday for the next few months. This is a great atmosphere for someone that’s a football fan and/or bettor.

I haven’t been visiting downtown Las Vegas nearly as much in the past couple of years as I used to. It’s strange but that’s a story for another day.

I made two visits to the Cosmopolitan in the past week. The first visit was to grab a cup of coffee with someone stopping by for a quick visit. Who am I to say no to 8 am coffee?!

It is very real that we are seeing MGM taking small steps at Cosmopolitan. Last week we mentioned Silk Sonic performing at the Barbershop inside the Cosmopolitan as the first marker that MGM Resorts is taking over operations at the property. Typically performers at Park MGM make aftershow appearances at the same property. This was a change of pace to have an aftershow at a different MGM Resorts property.

Rain in Las Vegas is weird. It barely rains most of the year except in July and early August. When it rains, it’s a lot.

The work week ended with another Friday evening news dump. Billboard reported that U2 will have its first Las Vegas residency starting in late 2023 at The MSG Sphere at The Venetian. Read more here.

My annual Summer Break was fun as always. We split a week on the Vegas Strip between Park MGM and The Cosmopolitan. More in-depth coverage in the future, but for now lots of Vegas Quick Hits.

Michael and I both had weeklong vacations with minimal work planned so we decided to drop a double issue of Vegas News after the holiday. I stayed in Las Vegas with a friend visiting and noticed more than a few things. One thing to keep an eye on is a lot of Vegas Summer Entertainment!

Vegas NFT ?? Circa has a Vegas Vickie NFT collection. The Plaza is making some changes to the historic downtown Las Vegas casino. The biggest modification to the property will take place before anyone walks into the casino.
