Welcome to Status Signals, powered by TravelZork: The Casino and Travel Loyalty Wire.
Every two weeks, we track casino and travel loyalty moves worth knowing: comps, tiers, points, miles, lounges, cards, status matches, program changes, and the perks that actually matter.
Casino loyalty comes first. Then travel loyalty. Because for TravelZork readers, the real game is where casinos, hotels, airlines, credit cards, and status all start talking to each other.
MGM Iconic Credit Card Annual Bonuses Are Now Posting as Flexible Comps
If you were approved for the MGM Iconic credit card near the time of its release, you should have seen an annual fee and annual benefits posting. One annual benefit, the “complimentary night up to $250” (with $25,000 spend), is actually a flexible $250 benefit that appears in your MGM Rewards app. Visit an MGM Rewards Desk to have the $250 added to your MGM Rewards Points bonus.

In my opinion, a flexible $250 added to your comp balance is much better than something like a free night certificate or a rebate after a stay. Pay a $249 annual fee, but get annual $200 and $250 credits plus many other benefits (mainly progress towards status) in years two and beyond – fantastic value!

Hyatt to partner with Delta instead of AA
Hyatt was partnered with American Airlines, allowing Hyatt members to gain benefits with American Airlines. On September 9th, 2026, Hyatt sent an e-mail noting, “after careful consideration, we have mutually decided to not continue our enhanced relationship in the coming months.”

Also on September 9th, 2026, Delta announced “a new, exclusive loyalty relationship launching in the coming months” with World of Hyatt. No specific details about benefits pertaining to this new partnership are available as of this article’s writing. More here.
Rove Partners with Copa Airlines, Offers 40% Transfer Bonus
Rove has added a new transfer partner, ConnectMiles with Copa Airlines. Transfers during September 2026 will have an added 40% bonus. According to the release, “Copa’s network can be especially useful when traveling between the United States and destinations in Latin America that might otherwise require less convenient or more complicated itineraries.” More here.
Bilt Adds More Value With Blade, Blacklane, and Equinox
Bilt credit card members may now redeem Bilt Cash for helicopter rides with Blade, private rides with Blacklane, and for fitness and spa uses with Equinox. Consider redeeming later in the year to avoid Bilt Cash expiration, or use it earlier if you have demand for these new Bilt Cash options. Listen to my August 2026 Bilt-focused podcast episode for more information.
Loyalty programs keep changing. Some changes matter. Some are noise. Status Signals sorts the signal from the static.
