Looking All Around Las Vegas For The Finest Vegas News

The Finest Vegas News | Sometimes we have an action-packed week of news. I like slower news weeks. The lack of “must cover” news allows me to look at some of the Las Vegas news and rumors that you may not have seen all week long.
Vegas News | Waldorf Vegas Goes Boom, NoMad Las Vegas Available, Lucky Dragon No More

More than a few people I know are noticing the increased number of promotions for Caesars that we mentioned last week. I saw comps almost across the board in my Total Rewards app and decided to book a night at Planet Hollywood. I had to shoot some video of the new Block 16 Food Hall at the Cosmopolitan so I figured I’d get a room and work in my room instead of driving back home. Lazy? Sure. Fun? You bet!
Vegas News | Lego Las Vegas, Virgin, Sports Betting and More

The biggest news involving Las Vegas this week comes from another country (at least that’s what wikipedia says). The brand new LEGO Architecture Las Vegas is available to purchase on Amazon.
Vegas News | MGM Resorts Earnings, Park MGM Update And New Rooms For El Cortez

I think the cold temperatures slowed down the newsmakers in Las Vegas this week. That’s the only way I can explain the lack of actual news. In fact, after MGM Resorts International reported earnings it seems as though everyone in Las Vegas went out for ramen to warm up from the freezing cold temperatures.
Vegas News | Bulls Roaming, Security Checks, The Drew And More

The big news is that the Big Blue Monstrosity on the north end of the Vegas Strip has an opening date. Let’s start there because I have even more information today than when the announcement was first made.
Vegas News | Where There’s Smoke There’s Fire

Wynn Resorts announced that they will be reporting earnings on Monday morning. Hard Rock May Finally Be Sold. While the deal isn’t confirmed there’s too much smoke not to see a fire. + more news and scoop
In Memoriam – (Un)Lucky Dragon (2017-2018)

But part of the trip that was critical to me was to check out, now that it was finally open and seemed to be a gem in the rough, the Lucky Dragon. I talked up the visit to the joint the entire trip to my friend. Intimate casino, catered crowd, boutique hotel, food that might rival the best Asian in the country (wrong…Arcadia always wins), and best of all…free parking. He shrugged (trust me, not a casino geek) and said sure. And along we went.
Vegas News | Lucky Dragon Taking A Break and Much More

I’ve been my own boss since I was in my mid-20’s. The holidays throw a wrench in my regular schedule and that makes me a bit crazy. Thankfully, we’re back to normal this week!
The Las Vegas Bitcoin Scene

Even though Las Vegas is sometimes on the cutting edge, Bitcoin has barely made a blip on the radar of most businesses. Bitcoin is still just getting off the ground so this shouldn’t be a surprise.

Vegas News | Lots Happening And Not Happening On The North Vegas Strip

I’ve just started noticing Christmas music in casinos so I guess it’s officially the holiday season. Las Vegas is usually quite festive for the holidays but the big news last week from the north end of the Vegas Strip doesn’t fit the bill.
Vegas News | Vegas Strip Parking, New Hotels Opening, Rick Rolling And More

Just another day in Las Vegas yesterday (Friday) started at El Cortez around noon and ended a Bally’s around 14 hours later. Spending days and nights with people who don’t live in Las Vegas is a blast. Everything seems so new and fresh. It’s great to see Las Vegas through the eyes of people who visit only a couple of times a year.
An American Casually Dining at Lucky Dragon Las Vegas

Lucky Dragon is a heavily Asian themed casino and hotel. The dining options reflect that more than any another segment of the casino and hotel. All four restaurants inside the casino serve exclusively Asian cuisine. This is unique but speaks loud and clear as to who their desired customer is.
Hotel Review | Lucky Dragon Las Vegas

When choosing a hotel, it’s good to understand a little bit about it so you know what to expect. Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino has the goal to be Las Vegas’ first hotel and casino that was designed specifically to create an authentic Asian cultural and gaming experience. This was on my mind when I drove up to valet at Lucky Dragon Las Vegas.
EXCLUSIVE | Everything You Want To Know About The Casino At Lucky Dragon Las Vegas | 拉斯维加斯威龙赌场度假村

Lucky Dragon Hotel and Casino are separate buildings that occupy a mere 3 acres just off the Vegas Strip. The hotel is about 20 steps west from the casino at Lucky Dragon Las Vegas. Both buildings are connected by a walkway (called the SkyBridge) on the 2nd floor so you never have to walk outside if it’s cold or hot. However, the casino is on the first floor so you’ll probably just walk outside for 5 seconds.
I want to start my flurry of information about Lucky Dragon in the casino because that’s where most people will visit before staying in the hotel itself.
First 10 Impressions of Lucky Dragon Las Vegas 拉斯维加斯威龙赌场度假村

Here are my first 10 impressions after about an hour at Lucky Dragon Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. Please enjoy these initial glimpses of Lucky Dragon.
Vegas News | A Slow Thanksgiving News Week

Happy Sunday! I hope your Thanksgiving weekend was as good as mine. Since the week was short, that means we’ll have less news than normal.
Las Vegas | Lucky Dragon, We’re Coming In Hot

Before Lucky Dragon opened over the weekend, the last casino to open that was built from scratch was the Cosmopolitan. That hotel and casino opened way back in 2010. Sure SLS Las Vegas, Downtown Grand, and The Cromwell have opened since then, but they were built using the bones of the Sahara, Lady Luck (NAME) and Bill’s Gamblin’ Hall respectively.
Vegas News | Gambling, Events and Tid-Bits

There was a lot of Vegas news that I’d like to discuss from last week, so let’s just hop into it. Gambling, Events and Tid-Bits
Vegas News | Gambling On The President And More

You might have heard that there was a presidential election this week. There will be a new President next year and some people are happy while others are sad. I’m less concerned with the politics than the gambling. Go figure. This was a record-breaking year for a US presidential election around the world – but not in the country where the election was actually held. Sports books outside of the US saw record amounts of money wagered on who would become the next President. Some gamblers won bigly as Donald Trump was a long shot for much of the time.

The Lucky Dragon, the mysteriously intimate property near the now developing corner of Sahara and Las Vegas Boulevard, has teased us with wonderful renderings and beautiful design for quite some time. A New Year means a new Vegas. Well, in reality, things come and go so fast in Las Vegas it would be more accurate to say a New Week a new Vegas. But that’s part of what makes the city, and other gaming meccas around the world like it, so addictive beyond the boozing and […]
