The local Las Vegas news is usually a waste of time for me. They typically have 3-5 minutes of local news before going to national news, weather and human interest stories. I don’t watch the local news often because 95% isn’t interesting to me. Don’t get me wrong – I love that I live in a sleepy town like Las Vegas. (Unbelievably, we still have a number of weekly items to share, including details today about the casino players club updates.)

Booking a hotel room in Las Vegas isn’t as simple as it used to be. Actually, just visiting the Vegas Strip isn’t as simple as it used to be either. The addition of resorts fees to advertised hotel room prices in Las Vegas over the years mean that your hotel room price isn’t what you’re being told it will be. But wait, there’s more! There is another fee if you plan on using a car in Las Vegas. Many casino operators on the Vegas Strip are now charging an hourly and daily parking fee for self-parking and valet. These parking fees are applicable to anyone with a car visiting or staying at the property.
I’m always in awe of Las Vegas. There’s so much happening. There’s also a lot that’s almost happening. This week we’ll touch on both ends of the spectrum without even mentioning the possibility of All Net Arena being built or the Virgin train.

The Global Points were not, but the Mlife Desk had the correct session total in their records, when I inquired about it.
I played at the Borgata Atlantic City last week for the first time since my Mlife at Borgata post in February. In that update, I told you that the representative at the Borgata, that I was contacting after every single time I played, to have my numbers adjusted in line with the Mlife Earn Rates…
Vegas Fees Gone Wild | It seems that we are living in an age of travel “fees gone wild.” Is ancillary revenue becoming the cornerstone of financial success for hotel operations in Las Vegas?
I have been writing about the Mlife program at the Borgata, since the transition from My Borgata Rewards in June. It was difficult to figure out the Mlife Earn Rates because the computer system is not tallying all the numbers correctly in everyone’s account and I could not confirm the earn rates that they gave me verbally, even though they were updating my account to these values.
I received a pre-approved offer for the Mlife Rewards MasterCard and pulled the trigger after ZorkFest. This is not an overly generous offer, but with no yearly fee and no foreign transaction fees this is an opportunity to build a relationship with Mlife and earn some perks before even stepping into a property.
