Noodle & Sushi at the Ocean Casino Resort
Solid Option
Zhen Bang Noodle & Sushi in Atlantic City, located in Ocean Casino Resort between the parking garage and the walkway to the casino is a solid dining option. My mother was in the mood for noodles, so we gave it a try. It’s a bit overpriced, like all restaurants in Atlantic City Casinos, but we thought it was tasty.
Appetizer
We started with pan fried Shrimp and Chive Dumplings. The flavors were subtle but we both really enjoyed them.
Main Dishes
We shared the Shrimp Pad Thai and the Honey Walnut Shrimp. (We like shrimp). The Pad Thai was nothing special and could have used a little more flavor (as well as some more slivered peanuts) but it tasted fresh and was filling.
The Honey Walnut Shrimp came out of the kitchen as a tower of shrimp on a bed of rice and a ring of broccoli, topped with walnuts. This presentation was dramatic and appealing. The portion was more generous than it looks in the pictures. My only criticism is that it could have used more sauce. The sauce that covered the shrimp was very good, but there was not enough for the broccoli or rice, which were not seasoned. (I would go back for this dish and would ask for extra sauce when ordering.)
Some might say, Zhen Bang is noodle & sushi in Atlantic City and much more. Zhen Bang Noodle & Sushi has a stellar menu that also includes noodle soups that can act as a main course. In addition, several items will appeal to both vegetarians and meat-eaters.
The Tea
The tea was excellent! Very smooth and brewed to perfection (which definitely makes a difference).
There are other dining options at Ocean Casino Resort that I prefer, but if you’re in the mood for noodles and it’s late at night, you could do worse.
