3 Dining Hot Spots Near The Vegas Strip

Las Vegas Chubby Cattle

Dining Near The Vegas Strip | Here are a couple of my favorite new off-strip dining hot spots along with a very newly opened restaurant. I’m including Uber ride-hailing estimates so you can budget time and money. You won’t find this kind of dining experience in a Las Vegas casino.

Tasting The Newest Restaurant At The Venetian, Mercato della Pescheria – Vegas

Tasting The Newest Restaurant At The Venetian, Mercato della Pescheria - Vegas

I recently visited the newest restaurant in the Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian, Mercato della Pescheria. The restaurant is located in St. Mark’s square replacing upscale Italian restaurant Postrio. The layout of Mercato della Pescheria is similar to Postrio with an indoor and “outdoor” table configuration. The outdoor seats are inside the casino under the painted sky ceiling.

Hotel Bar Buzz | Rooftop Bees and Cocktails

Hotel Bar Buzz | Rooftop Bees and Cocktails

Hotel bar. The two words evoke the image of a darkly lit bar with disheveled businesspeople shaking the ice in their glasses as they dream of being home. But as hotel chains rapidly work to give properties and brands their own character while luring customers back from boutiques, that spirit is moving to the bar. Among the efforts, a feature that literally goes to the top: bee cultivation on the hotel roof.

Sometimes Ya Just Need A Hot Bowl Of Matzo Ball Soup…In Las Vegas

On this awful day that picks me up came in the form of a hug from a delicious bowl of Matzo Ball soup at Siegel’s 1941 inside El Cortez. This was the first time I visited the new restaurant so I was hoping that the soup was the hug I wanted. Thankfully, it was as good, if not better, than any Matzo Ball soup I’ve had in Las Vegas

momofuku Las Vegas Is Not Quite Ready For Prime Time

Momofuku at the Cosmopolitan

Momofuku Las Vegas opened with very little fanfare this week at Cosmopolitan. A friend was walking past it on his way to pay final respects to Blue Ribbon Sushi and saw that it was open. He immediately made a reservation for the next day.

An American Casually Dining at Lucky Dragon Las Vegas

Lucky Dragon

Lucky Dragon is a heavily Asian themed casino and hotel. The dining options reflect that more than any another segment of the casino and hotel. All four restaurants inside the casino serve exclusively Asian cuisine. This is unique but speaks loud and clear as to who their desired customer is.

Where You Can Eat Like A High Roller — At The Airport

In the olden days of airport dining, you were lucky if you could eat a fast-food burger or drink a low-end cocktail. But airports understand that travelers are demanding better food and drink options, and they have stepped up their efforts to deliver. World-class high-end dining and celebrity chefs are flocking to airports to feed masses with more high-end food choices. Below are seven great airport restaurants to try during your travels.

Vegas | Dinner at L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon

Joel Robuchon Sea Bass - Porcini Cream

I wasn’t feeling that flush, so I slid my mouse over to Robuchon’s other Vegas outpost – L’Atelier De Joël Robuchon. It’s a bit less formal and has 1 Michelin Star. It also features an open kitchen, so you can watch the culinary creations as they come together. I opted for seats at the bar, so my colleague and I could take in the action, and maybe take a few notes to improve our own kitchen skills.

This is why I have put together this simple guide just for you.

Mexico | Top Craft Beer From The Riviera Maya

Riviera Maya Craft Beer

Mexico is best known for its strong Tequila and even stronger Mezcal. But along the sleepy Caribbean coastline of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula, you will find the Riviera Maya, a place where people are extremely serious about their beer! With the very first independent brewery popping up in 2012, the art of craft beer is extremely […]

Mexican Street Food

Tacos are a favourite food of people from all over the world. They are covered in guilty pleasure toppings, and are always full of flavour! Long Live The Appetizer! 3 Great Apps In Las Vegas

appetizer las vegas

Appetizers are the great equalizer when you’re looking to save money but eat quality food when dining in Las Vegas. A single appetizer can often be filling enough for one person. Likewise, appetizers are usually large enough to share. They’re the perfect size for flexible dining. Many times these dishes are as filling as a main […]

Dining At SkyCity At The Needle | Seattle

SkyCity Seattle

It’s the world’s oldest tower of its sort and has the second oldest revolving restaurant, the first being in Hawaii. It was built for Worlds Fair in 1962, and I love being on top of the world, even if it’s only in a tower for an hour.

First Class Airline Caviar Service – The Comparison

Caviar Service First Class

In Part 1 we spent some time discussing what makes Caviar Caviar. With all of that knowledge, we’re ready to launch into a look at the Caviar/caviar service available on airlines offering International First Class Service.

First Class Airline Caviar Service – Introduction

Caviar Service

Nothing says First Class like Caviar Service. Of course, it’s even better with world-class, vintage Champagne or ice cold, quality Vodka. And it’s absolutely the best when it gets served to you while sitting in an ultra comfortable seat in your own private space at 35,000 feet.

THE DUCHESS | A New Gem in Amsterdam

The Duchess Amsterdam W Hotel

The Duchess In Amsterdam Fabulous! The food, the atmosphere and the service. We had the pleasure of dining at The Duchess last week, and I must say it throughly exceeded my expectations. THE DUCHESS, inspired by the splendour and eminence of the Belle Époque, took residence in Amsterdam as of the summer of 2015. True to her imperial roots, […]

L’Atelier at MGM : A Culinary Performance

If you know anything about the culinary world, you should know the name Joël Robuchon. A master of french cuisine, his namesake restaurant at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas is renowned for service, cuisine, and an experience unlike any other. But that experience also comes at a price. However, there’s another side to Robuchon’s […]

Los Angeles | R+D Kitchen

Los Angeles | R+D Kitchen

A recent Saturday found myself and a friend searching for a midweek brunch after a business meeting, and being along the coast, I decided to try R+D Kitchen, a more casual offering from the Hillstone Restaurant Group, best known for their other mainstay Houstons.

Starting my series on lunch in Amsterdam, this week, we will look at a lovely restaurant in the Museumplein area of Amsterdam.  Convenient to most of the major museums, as well as hotels in Oud Zuid (Old South) and Leidseplein.  It is also moments away, and across the street from The Concertgebouw. L’entrecôte et les […]
