The Venetian will start to do a Tier Match promotion in October. There are no details on the match but you can read some words here.

The Fall display in the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens just started. This is usually my least favorite display of the year. It’s followed by my favorite. The holiday display will open a few days after this closes on Nov. 9. Enjoy some press pics of the current display.

New Kids On The Block announced a Park MGM residency for next year. Read more here.

Analysts are once again saying Caesars could sell The Linq Promenade. The asking price could be around $700 million. I can swear there was a $1 billion + price tag on this last year but can’t find the info. Anyway, read more about the current news here.

Since Caesars is on my mind, here are a few show announcements:

  • Donny Osmond signed an extension to continue his Harrah’s residency. Read more here.
  • Garth Brooks’ residency at Caesars Palace is winding down. Caesars just announced the final shows. Read more here. 
  • Black Eyed Peas will have a Las Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood. Last year I learned that Fergie is no longer with the group. Read more here if you’re 2000 and late.

I’m not an MMA fan but I did pop in and out of the UFC fights at The Sphere last week. The venue looked rad between matches. 

There doesn’t seem to be much excitement for the Tropicana implosion. After a spike in hotel room prices near the implosion site, this viewing party across the street at Mandalay Bay hasn’t been able to sell a couple hundred tickets to watch the boom from the Foundation room. The Suncoast has a brand new sportsbook that might be too nice for the property today. If it’s a sign of things to come, the next phases of the property-wide upgrade should be great. See pics and words here.

This isn’t a new scene but it popped up in my feed this morning and I thought I’d share. Just a heads up that the rideshare area at LAS is often busy. Consider taking a cab when leaving the airport.

It seems as though El Cortez has been slowly renovating the property for the past decade. I’ve had a special connection with the casino since before moving to Las Vegas and the newest renderings look rad. See and read more here.

Fat Sal’s is now open at the Fremont Street Experience. If you’re not familiar; these are perfect sandwiches for after you drink two or more footballs of beer or adult slushy beverages. Read more here.

G2E is almost here and I don’t think I’ll find a casino game I want to see more than marble racing! I’ll have an appointment with Interblock and be on hand about an hour after doors to share pics and videos of this. 

The Cosmopolitan is opening its first “only Mexican” restaurant next to its first restaurant to offer Mexican food. Read more here. 

Preparations are underway to build the Las Vegas Grand Prix (LVGP) circuit. It will be annoying – especially for anyone who wants to watch the Bellagio fountain show. Read more here.
