Welcome to Status Signals powered by TravelZork: The Casino and Travel Loyalty Wire.
Every two weeks, we track casino and travel loyalty moves worth knowing: comps, tiers, points, miles, lounges, cards, status matches, program changes, and the perks that actually matter.
Casino loyalty comes first. Then travel loyalty. Because for TravelZork readers, the real game is where casinos, hotels, airlines, credit cards, and status all start talking to each other.
Treasure Island Ends $200 Free Play Promotion

The generous $200 free play promotion, with only a 1x playthrough requirement, was short-lived. Treasure Island said, “Due to overwhelming response, the offer reached its capacity earlier than anticipated.” As usual, take advantage of deals before they expire.
MyVegas Devaluations
The MyVegas mobile app (not to be confused with MyVegas Classic or other Playstudios games) recently significantly increased minimum bet requirements, making it harder to earn VIP or loyalty points redeemable for real-life rewards. My balance of several billion chips, which had lasted for many years, was reduced to zero after some auto-spinning. However, daily bonuses, chip emails, and other bonuses have increased, so it’s still possible to accumulate a chip balance. Focus on other games if your MyVegas mobile chip balance gets to zero.

American Express Expands Fine Hotels & Resorts and Resy Restaurants
Amex added more than 350 hotels to the FHR program. Amex also added restaurants listed on the Tock platform, but card users must wait until September 15th to receive Resy credits from eligible American Express cards. With more redemption options, card value continues to increase.
Chase Limiting Lounge Access
Starting August 15th, Priority Pass members may no longer use the Chase Sapphire Lounge locations unless they have a Chase Sapphire Reserve card or are guested into Chase lounges. Frequent lounge users may consider upgrading their Chase Sapphire Preferred cards to Reserve cards. Learn more: HERE.

Capital One Now Allowing Credit Reallocation from former Discover IT cards
Discover IT cards are now managed by Capital One. Discover IT credit limits can now be transferred to Capital One personal cards, such as Venture and Savor. I mainly use my Discover IT cards for 5x rotating categories up to $1500 spending per quarter, so I don’t need much more than $1500 credit limits. I was able to transfer some of my $17,000 credit limit to other Capital One cards so I can spend more and earn more rewards.
Loyalty programs keep changing. Some changes matter. Some are noise. Status Signals is here to sort the signal from the static.
