Introduction: Downtown Grand Rewards

Downtown Grand opened just off of Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas in 2013. You may remember this hotel and casino as the Lady Luck. The massive 634 room hotel is spread across two towers but has a relatively small casino floor under 60,000 square feet. Since opening Downtown Grand has struggled to find it’s niche among the revitalization of downtown Las Vegas.

Downtown Grand gave its players club an overhaul after less than two years of operation. The new players club called Downtown Grand Rewards brings tiers to this formerly tier-less players club. When a players club offers multiple tiers it’s usually to generate the aspiration for players to want to reach a higher level. Frankly there’s very little benefit to being a higher tier player at Downtown Grand.

The good news is that your when your old Downtown Grand players club points are transferred to Downtown Rewards you’ll see a change in their number. Their value will remain the same but it might translate to a greater amount of slot play on your account.

Earning points

Earning points with Downtown Grand Rewards happens much quicker than it used to. In fact, Downtown Grand Rewards is now one of the easier casinos to earn players club points in Las Vegas. Unfortunately they don’t offer points for any non-gaming spending.

First things first, all benefits from a casino are good. Having said that there are certain benefits that people enjoy that would encourage them to spend a few more dollars to achieve a new status or tier level. The benefits offered as you jump tier levels with Downtown Grand Rewards may not be worth the money you’re spending to reach that tier.

White (0 – 2,499 points)

• Complimentary suite upgrade (based on availability)

There are no permanent partners yet for Downtown Grand Rewards. The previous incarnation of their players club would have short term promotions that might involve outside partners.
