On Tuesday June 5th, 2018 Delaware became the first state outside of Nevada to offer legal single-game sports wagering through their state lottery. This distinction is important because Delaware has been offering multi-game parlay wagers for some time, but now is offering in their words “Vegas Style Sports Betting”.
Whew! ZorkFest, 360 Vegas Vacation, and Memorial Day Weekend are gone and life is almost back to normal! The combination of learning, partying, and a day off for a holiday weekend was something else. This weekend was more than just a hang or conference. There’s really a great supportive community that loves casinos in Las Vegas and beyond.
ANYWHO… I suspect some of you may be going to Vegas for the first time and/or need a reminder on some things to do and not do if you want Vegas to like you on your next visit…because unless you’re a soulless prude, there WILL be a return…
Our destination…the place we could fit the most for the least. That place was the all new Treasure Island at the Mirage. (AKA The OG Encore). And for a splendid night of debauchery, myself and 21 of my peers piled into a room for the night. Buffets and my first slot experience later, Las Vegas became ingrained in me just as it had with my family before me.
We’re going to go behind the scenes a little this week. Following Las Vegas closely can be exciting. We hear about news before it’s news and everyone else knows what’s happening. However, there’s a downside being first to know everything.
When SkyMiles are worth using is based on a number of factors and circumstances — but to get to ZorkFest 2018 in Las Vegas from…
FOMO, in Internet short hand means Fear of Missing Out. I see it posted all the time. FOMO this, FOMO that. It is, in my opinion, pretty much over used. Podcasters After Dark Sponsored by The Bettor Life podcast is hosted by the country’s biggest name in recreational gambling, Eric Rosenthal.
We’re a week removed from the Kentucky Derby and Cinco De Mayo weekend in Las Vegas. I didn’t think I’d feel this way but Derby Day felt incomplete without a big fight. I haven’t been a boxing fan for a few years but the excitement a big fight brings to Las Vegas is unmatched. Boxing also brings in the biggest customers according to MGM Resorts.
You may have noticed that we made an emergency news post during the week. We didn’t think that the news about 18 Fremont and Wynn Paradise Park plans should wait until Sunday. Having said that this news post will be a little shorter than some others.
Daily Getaways has a deal for three nights in a Venetian Piazza Suite. I am not a huge fan of paying for rooms in Vegas, but for those that do not have miles+points opportunities or comp (complimentary) casino marketing room offers, this might be a decent option.
This week Wynn Resorts and Derek Stevens revealed plans about upcoming projects that need to be shared before Sunday. We’ll have more thoughts on each of these by Sunday but thought we should share the news before it’s news.
