I thought about writing an intro this week but this trip report is a good enough reminder about what Las Vegas casinos are like right now. Las Vegas continues to reopen and will be for a while.
I’ve been going to the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) since I moved to Las Vegas. I’m not like the vast majority of attendees who work in the casino industry. I attend the annual gathering of the casino biz in part as media and also as a casino customer and gambler. It is always great to examine new slot machines and new gaming technology.
Roll to Win Craps from Aruze Gaming was the talk of the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) this year. The new semi-automated craps game that replaces felt with a table-length LED display caused quite a stir.

Fortune Cup by Konami Gaming in finally in casinos. You may be familiar with this horse racing game from its tour around the world in 2016. Last year, Konami took thus massive game to just about every gaming conference to gauge interest.
As expected last week was a busy news period for Las Vegas. Even if it wasn’t blatant, the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) was the catalyst for a lot of what we learned about casinos during the week. There are a lot of places I could start but I think MGM Resorts is a good place.
