I was about to file this but news about a Macallan tasting at Aria got in the way. This news is so fresh that there’s no information beyond the press release I just shared here.
The bridge connecting Paris Las Vegas and the new Versailles Tower (formerly Bally’s/Horseshoe Jubilee Tower) is finally open.

The Venetian Rewards tier match is live. Those who do the match will not have access to most of the best benefits so it might not be worth your time. They didn’t match my Fontainebleau tier but I may return with a Hard Rock card just to get complimentary valet during G2E. You can read the good, bad, and dumb here.
Weird Al is kicking off his 2025 tour with a limited engagement at The Venetian. Read more here.
I’m not a fan but Weird Al shows are definitely an experience. Good or bad is up to you. The Venetian might be a great place for people-watching next June.
LAS has plans to expand. Unlike many proposed ideas in Las Vegas, this seems very flushed out so it seems likely to happen. Upgrading the rideshare space needs to happen regardless of approval. Read more here.
Flamingo is renovating its pool. As you’d expect the local newspaper has lots more info. Actually, the newspaper has no useful information but you can see that here.
The Tropicana implosion is next week! I could never have imagined how little anyone would care about this casino closing and being demolished. You can watch a stream at Ballylive.com and @Vegas on X.
Coincidentally (?) Oyo is now charging for parking. Read more here.
The free Neon City Music Festival has a lineup. It’s three days of free music talent you’d expect to see for free at the Fremont Street Experience. See the performers here.
Della’s at Delano is closing for good. MGM will announce plans for the space soon.
The Eagles added four more shows to their Sphere residency next year. Read more here.
Pitbull’s next residency will be at Fontainebleau. Read more here.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Pitbull has a residency at Hard Rock when it opens in a few years.
G2E Update:
I’ll be at G2E next week to check out new games including Interblock’s Marble Run. Follow me on XTwitter or Instagram for pics and videos. I usually share nicer pics on both apps and everything (silly, sloppy, or useful) on IG stories. Here’s an update of some more games we’ll see for the first time next week.
- Everi will have a Chia Pet, Powerball, Shark Week slots, and more. Get the details here.
- IGT will have a slew of Wheel of Fortune games (slots, ETGs, video poker) a new Whitney Houston slot machine, and more. Get the details here and here.
- Aristocrat’s Phoenix Link is the new Dragon Link. Read more here.
This is somewhat G2E related – The Dragon Link vs. Dragon Train story is kind of interesting for a legal story. You can see the current status here.
I’m so bored of Dragon Link and love the THUD of the money balls in Dragon Train that I’ve played that game a few times. I’m curious if Phoenix Link offers anything different from Dragon Link. Maybe they’ll rip off the “THUD” and call it even.
In the most recent Vegas News we shared details of Roll To Win Craps at Wynn. This time we have info that Binion’s has a mini-craps table. This adorable tub is usually only found at poolside craps games. See the post here.
MGM has free F1 experiences: Mercedes at Aria, Ferrari at Bellagio, Haas at Cosmopolitan, and Williams at New York-New York. Scroll down this page for more info.
This feels like old news but Area 15 is looking to expand with a Universal attraction. Read more here.
Koi at Planet Hollywood is being replaced by an Italian restaurant named Caramella.
Creed is playing Caesars Palace with Sevendust on New Year’s Eve. See the tweet here.
There’s a popup bar at the dinosaur attraction in the basement at Horseshoe. It only holds 15 people so make reservations. Read more here.
Las Vegas will host a Gold Cup (soccer) game next year. Read more here.
Look for big news soon. Earnings season starts in a few weeks. Boyd is the first to report on Oct. 24, Caesars reports on Oct. 29, and MGM reports on Oct. 30. You can listen to any of the calls for no charge. I’ll have Las Vegas and online casino information from all of the calls. I’ll highlight some of the Vegas news here but you can follow me on social to see where to find more in depth info.
I always find it interesting to see how non-casino people look at Las Vegas casino operators. Skift has takes on MGM Resorts. Read and see more here.
Speaking of mainstream travel news – Oyo purchased Motel 6. They’re going to keep the brands separate so don’t expect the company to rename the casino formerly known as Hooters and San Remo as Motel 6 Casino. Read about it here.
There’s a new Vegas Golden Knights app. Read more here.
Chris Martin from Coldplay stopped by Dino’s for Karaoke. Enjoy!
One of those only in DTLV, Chris Martin of Coldplay cruises into Dino's bar (in a silly disguise) and belts out a song!
