Just like a young woman who is not quite ready for primetime, so goes the way over at Steve Wynn’s new crown jewel Wynn Palace. Set for an early 2016 opening date, the date was pushed back again to June 25th. But sorry for those of you who bought your tickets and I hope you got enough Wynn from Wynncore Macau, she’s once again decided to stay hidden behind the construction fences.
Looks like Wynn was tossing me a cookie as Wynn Palace will now open on August 22nd, 2016, my 37th. Considering how much tinkering Wynn has been doing on his other resorts, its no wonder with the eyes on Wynn Palace that everything needs to be perfect, and that is the every reason to push back the opening until everything is perfect.
For now though, you can book rooms through their website for the opening, which really makes this seem concrete more than the last two dates. If anyone wants to buy me a birthday gift…
(Hat tip to TheStreet.com for the cover shot as well as the vintage Wynn shot…I mean who remembers La Bete?!? This guy!)

What is with this guy constantly mentioning his birthday in his articles? Everybody has a birthday. You’re not special. You’re going to be 37. Quit acting like you’re 12.
Well, I personally like relating casino openings to birthdays. My birthday happens to coincide with the opening of Caesars Atlantic City. In some geeky way, that makes me smile. – baccarat_guy
Pat, I mention my birthday because numbers, to most gamblers, are important, and I believe my birthday to be special because of the luck I’ve had on it, nothing more. Just like I have been lucky betting on the birthdays of my mother, grandmother, and other family members. That said, can I count on a gift from you as well? 🙂
