The Express Comps have been tallying correctly and I can confirm these with my play. You can see your earnings in real time by removing your slot card from a machine, waiting a minute and then re-inserting it and entering your PIN. (You do not earn any Express Comps until you earn the minimum of 5, so until you earn 5 Express Comps, they will not show on a machine.) ALL the rates are based upon the Express Comps earned, just as they were with My Borgata Rewards. The Slot Dollars are calculated from the Express Comps earned and can be used at the Borgata only, on your next trip. These too have been adding to my account correctly.
The Points, or the Global Points, as the representative of the Borgata that I phone, refers to them as, are supposed to calculate in real time, like the Express Comps, but that has not been happening. You are also supposed to be able to use them immediately.
The Tier Credits too, are based upon the Express Comps earned, but even though it is a very simple formula: 1 Express Comp = 75 Tier Credits, they too have not been added to my account correctly without manual adjustment.
Recap of Mlife at Borgata Points Earning
Let me reiterate the basic formula:
10 Express Comps = $4 Slot Dollars + 100 Global Points + 750 Tier Credits
(A Global Point is worth one cent)
You must earn at least 5 Express Comps to earn any at all and $4 Slot Dollars to earn any at all, so after 10 Express Comps are earned you can break the formula down into:
1 Express Comp = .40 Slot Dollars + 10 Global Points + 75 Tier Credits

Really? Yes! WATCH YOUR POINTS!
Currently, not only are my Points not accumulating correctly, but the incorrect total is sometimes disappearing and then appearing again in my account. So, I called my Borgata representative and left a message. When she called me back she informed me that—they are aware of the problem with the Global Points and they are working on it. It is system wide. She instructed me to go to the Mlife Desk now, every single time I play, to have the numbers updated correctly. She even told me to play some before I go up to the booth. WHAT?
I almost couldn’t respond. This woman has been very pleasant, so I would never take my frustration out on her, but REALLY? Are you kidding me? Go up to the desk, every single visit? “I” have to do the math that a computer should be doing, on the spot, at the casino?
I mentioned that my Tier Credits are not correct either and was told that I can call her back if the booth can’t take care of it. Unbelievable!
As you can see from the formula, Points earning is minuscule at the Borgata, so you may not want to take the time to make sure that totals are correct. But, Tier Credit IS important to me. I am attempting to actually earn Gold Status this year, as opposed to just getting a match, so I will do the legwork necessary to get my numbers in line.
If you have status through a match, or don’t have status and are satisfied with the comps you are earning, then it might not be worth the trouble of monitoring your account. I’m assuming that the complexities of the new system and the hassle for such a small amount is why there isn’t pandemonium at the Mlife desk, every day, but shame on Mlife for pulling this stunt. Roll out a new program when you have your act together!
