I finally visited the completely renovated Park MGM Las Vegas. I saw construction at the former Monte Carlo monthly over the past two-plus years. Finally, there was no more construction at Park MGM.
We made it through another Vegas summer! High temperatures appear to be in the double digits for the rest of the year. Low temperatures will be in the mid 50’s by the end of the week with highs less than 80. This summer in Las Vegas wasn’t as brutal as recent years, but it’s still nice to be able to drive with the windows down again.
There are lots of rumors floating around about the future of a few Las Vegas casinos. “Rumors” might have accelerated to “talks” but the deals still aren’t agreed to so there’s nothing officially happening…yet.
It’s race day in Las Vegas! Beastmode - Marshawn Lynch - will be driving the pace car at the South
We’re heading into my second favorite time of the year to be in Las Vegas. Temperatures cool but aren’t really cool. It’s warm but not hot. It’s still iced coffee weather but air conditioning isn’t necessary. It’s the best time to enjoy the great outdoors.
Historically, there is more money wagered on football in Nevada than all other sports combined. While the Nevada Gaming Control Board doesn’t break out pro versus college, anecdotally the NFL sees about 60% of the football wagers while college sees 40% of the wagers. Seems like a perfect time of year to talk about watching football In Las Vegas.
‘Bet’ on football – without betting, I love a parade + learn about all the Atlantic City September 2019 promotions and events….
The busiest season of the year in the sports book is upon us. Football makes up more than half the money wagered on sports every year in Nevada. Since more people wager on football than any other sports it’s usually the easiest game to figure out how to bet.
I hope you’re enjoying your Labor Day Weekend. In a perfect world, you’re catching up on the news in and around Las Vegas while enjoying a little RnR.
Summer is almost over! Have no fear, it’s always sunny in Las Vegas. The 100+ degree temperatures aren’t going anywhere for a few weeks and there’s one more big weekend to party.
Dolce Mare, located in the Ocean Casino Resort is excellent! I have been there multiple times and hope to go back again and again. It is a fine dining modern Italian restaurant in Atlantic City and has prices to go along with that. Unlike some other restaurants in Atlantic City, I believe it is priced reasonably for what you get.
his was a very rare week in Las Vegas with little drama and little news. Since there isn’t much major news, we’ll touch on one big topic, a less big topic but still interesting, and then expand Quick Hits as needed.
This week in Vegas news was dominated by casino operators reporting earnings. Sometimes these calls offer insight into future plans for the businesses. Other times these casino earnings calls offer financial information that helps explain the Vegas experience. This earnings period has a combination of both without any major breaking news.
