Last night I visited the Tuscany for the Great Pumpkin Roadshow. The small pumpkin beer festival was put on in conjunction with Elysian Brewing and Pub 365. I had a great time poolside at the roadshow and even enjoyed pumpkin flavored beers.
I probably enjoyed a few too many mini glasses of Night Owl Pumpkin Ale. The full-sized beers before and after the festival at Pub 365 added to the boozy night. Today, I’m reminded that I don’t recover from too many drinks like I used to. With that in mind, I’ll be brief with the news this week.

Caesars Entertainment Emerges From Bankruptcy
Long live Caesars! You can read their press release about the exit plans here. Expect a good amount of the expansion plans they’ve been hinting at over the past year to begin soon.
Caesars Palace is ruined for the time being. Don’t be surprised if you see more ruining and deflowering of one of the most famous casino brands in the world in 2018. Happy New Year!
Related: Total Rewards is offering bonus tier credits for the rest of the year. You can see details here.
Rumor of the week: Penn National Gaming To Merge With Pinnacle Gaming?
This could be a small deal in Las Vegas. However, it could open up Las Vegas to new casino visitors around the country. You can read about the possibility here. I’ll explore this deeply if it becomes a reality.
Dining Bites
Get it…bites? Speaking of bites. Check out these adorable little grilled cheese sandwiches from Culinary Dropout at the Hard Rock. They may be the best thing on the menu after the pretzel bites.

Chance The Gila Monster
The Vegas Golden Knights introduced their mascot named Chance. It looks like the child of The Thing and Barney to me but it’s something called a Gila Monster. Never heard of it? You’re not the only one. Here’s some information from the Nevada Department of Wildlife.
The Vegas Golden Knights have a fun story about Chance here.

The Las Vegas 51’s Moving To Summerlin
Howard Hughes Corp. is building a new baseball stadium for the Las Vegas 51’s in Summerlin. The stadium will be across the street from the Downtown Summerlin mall and next to City National Arena (where the Vegas Golden Knights practice) and Red Rock Casino.
The new stadium should open in time for the 2019 season. The announcement of the new stadium comes shortly after the New York Mets announced they were not renewing their affiliation agreement with Las Vegas after the 2018 season.
A new affiliation hasn’t been named yet but minor league franchises seem to move pretty often. Keep your eyes peeled.
On a related note, the Las Vegas Lights will remain at Cashman Field in downtown Las Vegas.
Rock N Roll Marathon Staying But Moving
The Rock N Roll Marathon will still be take place during the weekend of November 12. However, there will be some changes. The starting line and pre-race concert will move from Mandalay Bay and the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Specifics are not available yet. You’ll find the most accurate news at the marathon website when they have an announcement.
