December seems to put Atlantic City in a more “family-friendly” mood.
The best place to head is Tropicana. The festivities begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 3 on the Boardwalk and include a special holiday sing-along presentation of Tropicana’s Multimedia Light and Sound Show. Visitors can join the cast of the casino’s “Holiday Jubilee” show, the Chartertech High School for the Performing Arts Choir, and Santa Claus himself.
While supplies last, participants will enjoy complimentary coffee and hot chocolate from Starbucks, cookies from Mrs. Fields, and glow sticks. Plus, guests who bring a new unwrapped gift for Tropicana’s Toys for Kids program will be entered for a chance to win a $250 Macy’s gift card.
The sing-along will feature such holiday favorites as “Deck the Halls,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Jingle Bells,” Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer” and “Here Comes Santa Claus.”
After the sing-along, warm up inside and enjoy the free Holiday Musical Light Show in The Quarter featuring a 35-foot tree synchronized to holiday music. Daily shows continue through Jan. 3 every hour on the hour from noon until 10 p.m. Adding to the festive décor is Tropicana’s 25-foot poinsettia tree located in Palm Walk.
Families also can enjoy Tropicana’s “Holiday Jubilee” in the showroom on select dates through Dec. 23. Starring nine dancers and two vocalists, “Holiday Jubilee” takes a fresh approach to presenting beloved holiday music, characters and stories of the season. For more information, visit Tropicana.net.
