Holidays are good for the soul but they’re bad for news announcements. Businesses tend to lay low with good news heading into long holiday weekends because the news can get lost while people are enjoying time off. We’re coming off the end of summer Labor Day Weekend celebrations so news is limited.
Having said that, this is Vegas News and there’s always something happening! Let’s get to it!
Here’s another useless Boring update!

12 weeks after completing the Cybertunnel at Giga Texas, Prufrock-3 has completed its first tunnel in Las Vegas!

The Boring tunnel system only reaches one casino but could reach a second casino before the year is over. Stay tuned for amazingly slow progress reports on this. Read the old news here.
A plan to develop the land where the Riviera once stood has been approved. Yippee?

The Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay is charging $50 per person to watch the Tropicana implosion. That balcony can be a bit tight on a normal night. I can’t imagine how uncomfortable it will be for this. I’m guessing there will be more viewing parties announced but you can get more info here.
Las Vegas is fun. I went to a local bar to watch the first game of the NFL season and noticed the coffee shop next door was selling eggs for $7 per dozen. An Old Fashioned during Happy Hour is only $6 and that amused me enough to share. Related: Off-strip happy hour deals for weeknight football games can be great.
