Thanksgiving week is always strange for Las Vegas. As always, it’s a great time to visit. Unfortunately, there’s not much happening behind the desks.

Before I get to the “big” Vegas News about the Resorts World plan, I must say this has been a chaotic two-week stretch with friends visiting. So many people I know visit Las Vegas for work and/or pleasure. Being able to catch up with friends and acquaintances so frequently is part of what makes living in Las Vegas so great.

Technically, I live in a part of Las Vegas called Spring Valley. I’m one block away from Summerlin and pay less living here than I used to. It’s a nice enough area with plenty of places to visit. Today I am sharing a bit about local life in Vegas.

Zhen Bang Noodle & Sushi in Atlantic City, located in Ocean Casino Resort between the parking garage and the walkway to the casino is a solid dining option.

After a year of patrons asking for a lounge for high-level players, MGM Springfield finally added one. The space once partially occupied by Starbucks, was turned into the new MGM Springfield Casino VIP Lounge for Mlife Rewards players.

There’s not much of an introduction this week. While there was lots of little Vegas News, the wasn’t much big news. Also, I’m slightly hungover because of visitors.

New England Casinos November offer event and entertainment opportunities and special promotions for visitors + the scoop and news for New England Casinos.

Quarterly casino earnings calls and reports often have information that we can use to look at the current and future state of the companies. The calls, specifically, don’t have major breaking news. This week Red Rock Resorts (AKA Station Casinos) dropped a news bomb that was news but not all that surprising. Let’s just get to it because this is probably the biggest story to hit Las Vegas during the week. Plus, we will be talking (again) about Vegas fees.

Monday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day. Casinos are offering special deals to veterans and active duty military. + learn about all the Atlantic City November 2019 events.

Quarterly earnings are the best and worst at the same time. They often have interesting information. The earnings calls are another level. They often have additional commentary that isn’t in the reports and press release. Let’s explore more in Vegas News.

I’ve been going to the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) since I moved to Las Vegas. I’m not like the vast majority of attendees who work in the casino industry. I attend the annual gathering of the casino biz in part as media and also as a casino customer and gambler. It is always great to examine new slot machines and new gaming technology.
