After a year of patrons asking for a lounge for high-level players, MGM Springfield finally added one. The space once partially occupied by Starbucks, was turned into the new MGM Springfield Casino VIP Lounge for Mlife Rewards players.

There’s not much of an introduction this week. While there was lots of little Vegas News, the wasn’t much big news. Also, I’m slightly hungover because of visitors.

Quarterly casino earnings calls and reports often have information that we can use to look at the current and future state of the companies. The calls, specifically, don’t have major breaking news. This week Red Rock Resorts (AKA Station Casinos) dropped a news bomb that was news but not all that surprising. Let’s just get to it because this is probably the biggest story to hit Las Vegas during the week. Plus, we will be talking (again) about Vegas fees.

I’ve been going to the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) since I moved to Las Vegas. I’m not like the vast majority of attendees who work in the casino industry. I attend the annual gathering of the casino biz in part as media and also as a casino customer and gambler. It is always great to examine new slot machines and new gaming technology.

It’s getting harder to find full pay video poker in Las Vegas, but until the costs outweigh the benefits, I will continue to play. I cannot provide a comprehensive list of the best video poker in Las Vegas, as I did with Atlantic City. Two breweries recently opened locations in downtown Las Vegas and I was stoked to check them out. My original downtown Las Vegas Breweries plan was to stop by both Able Baker Brewing and the new CraftHaus new taproom.

The Fresh Harvest Buffet at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is a decent buffet so let’s start with the best things about it first. High quality ingredients are served very fresh.
