Caesars Rewards recently emailed some former Diamond status holders an invitation to apply for the Caesars Rewards Visa credit card and spend $5000 on it to receive “gifted tier status” as a “Diamond upgrade.”
This new offer may provide more value than the usual credit card benefit of granting 7500 tier credits (half of the way towards Caesars Rewards Diamond status) to new cardmembers spending $5000, so some may be more interested in applying for the Caesars Rewards Visa.
Offer Terms

Offer terms note “gifted tier status” rather than earned or granted Tier Credits, so cardmembers may not earn certain “Diamond Benefits” because the email notes, “Some benefits and privileges are based on play/activity.”

The email doesn’t note what these “some benefits” are, but these may/may not include the usual three comp nights (one per 5000 Tier Credits), Atlantis vacation benefit, and the annual $100 Celebration Dinner (which needed earned Tier Credits).
The war on happiness strikes once again with Caesars not offering 15,000 tier credits and instead offering “gifted tier status,” but this gifted status is something more than the usual card welcome offer.
Non-gamblers or low rollers may like this offer because they quickly gain Diamond status and don’t have to gamble. Hopefully, though, readers of my articles will be inspired to gamble intelligently with minimal expected losses that contribute to an overall edge, especially when considering earned statuses, benefits, and creative ways to spend while gambling.
Not Appealing for Everyone
As of February 25th, 2025, I earned 50,864 Tier Credits primarily through Video Poker (35k tier during a 10x tier multiplier promotion, see my article here https://travelzork.com/points-strategy-10x-tier-credit-multiplier/) and online Blackjack funded by rewarding debit cards, allowing for an edge on sites including Horseshoe, Caesars Palace Online, and Caesars Sportsbook.
“Gifted tier status,” then, is unappealing when I can earn status at minimal cost and receive offers, including a recent offer for four comp four-night stays in Atlantic City—including weekends—with added free play, and surely more to come.
To Whom it Appeals
I could understand why those outside of PA, NJ, and MI who lack access to online Caesars gambling would want “gifted tier status,” especially since they valued status matching when Wyndham status matched to Caesars in 2024 and past years. The appeal of waived resort fees, future status matching, and more, just from having a credit card, can be strong, but I’d instead encourage earning the status by playing a higher-level game.
The “gifted tier status,” as mentioned in the offer email, expires on 1/31/2026. However, in February, Caesars Rewards Visa cardholders can again spend $5000 for 5000 bonus tier credits (a standing credit card benefit) and work on reattaining Diamond status. One can even begin card spending on 1/1/26 to reach the $5000 threshold more quickly because the bonus tier credits take weeks to post, and spending during any point in the calendar year qualifies.
Those not targeted for this offer, especially those who have been in the points and miles game for years and already applied for the strongest credit cards, should still consider the Caesars Rewards Visa for many reasons I described in a past article.
