MGM Resorts released earnings last week. I listen to the (casino earnings) calls because they usually offer some context to the financials in the reports.
I like to change the format of Vegas News every now and again. This week will be all Quick Hits-style with a bunch of embedded tweets with pictures for visual interest. Also, pay close attention to the Fontainebleau Room Preview, which is making this new casino resort seem “more real.”
The biggest news in Las Vegas surrounds The Mirage/Hard Rock. Clark County approved Hard Rock’s (Hard Rock Las Vegas) plans to build a guitar-shaped hotel tower in front of the existing property.
There’s really no major news from the past week so I’ll share some info about a couple of days and nights I spent with tourists on and around the Vegas Strip.
